Meet QRTZ

Ek aah hai woh jo sooraj ke ujaale se pehle raat ki aakhri saans hai.

Ek boond jo baarishon ke geeton ke aakhri sur bayaan karti hai.

Ek phool jisme kisi path ki chaah nahin.

Ek sitaara jise darya mein jhalakte apne aks ka intezaar hai.

Ek khwaahish jo hakeekat ke rangon mein khud ko talaashti hai.

Ek raasta jo apna anjaam chaahta hai…

I’m Abhimanyu. Stay in Bombay – this is the Internet, and I’ll call it what I please – but was born in Calcutta – the same reason applies. I still consider the latter to be ‘my’ city. It is a lovely place. Do visit it.

Love literature: poetry more than prose, as ought to be evident from this blog, and love it in Hindi as much as English. Wannabe linguist – Urdu is a language I fantasise most about, thanks in no small part to Gulzar. Have learnt a bit of Spanish, French and Italian remain.

Manchester United is the other thing I’m passionate about. If you love me for it, I greet you, brother. If you don’t, there’s a pretty simple reason to it: your club is rubbish, and you are a jealous schoolboy!

Student of advertising, and trying at present to forge a way in its ceaseless seas. I think it an art form, and find its reach and effect on us quite enchanting. Hopefully, if all goes well, I’ll have made a mark on these swirling waters.

That’s about it I guess. Of course, if I did write everything here, you wouldn’t probably bother with the blog at all. Which, in my opinion, is how you actually get to know a person.

His thoughts, his words.

Cheers! And hope to see you reading some more…

Hi there! I just stumbled upon your blog from a comment you left on our mutual friend, Sylvia’s website on Japan. I really admire anyone who can put words together like you do. =) “Of Ol’ Calcutta” was hilarious although I loved the earlier serious posts as well. I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to reading more! =)

      Hello!

“I really admire anyone who can put words together like you do.”

After reading your comment today, I visited your blog, paying special attention to the ‘About The Author’ section. Honestly speaking, it is very, very humbling to receive the above words of praise from someone as learned and free as you. At the risk of sounding immensely corny, Samantha, I salute you – not for having read and studied as much as you have, but for the life you are living.

I invite you to read some more. I hope you’ll find ‘Nomad’ interesting. It is here.

Wow! A sincere thanks for such positive feedback, Abhi. Sometimes I wonder if what I write even makes any sense!

I took a glimpse at “Nomad” and know I’m going to identify with it and love it! Just heading to Chile for a couple weeks, but I’m excited to read “Nomad” more thoroughly and be in more regular touch when I get back. =)

Well, cheer up! So far, it does make sense.

      Ha ha ha!

Just kidding. It does, and always will, make sense. You write from the heart, and it is always right. Whether or not it makes “sense”, it is always, always right! I wish you have an awesome, safe Chilean experience, and we get to read and see more of that country.

By the way, I am planning a raid on your blog. Actually, it is much less dramatic, what I want to request you. Check out my latest post. I’m certain that one of your images will, if you so honour the post, and me, complete it. I don’t know the propriety of it, but I just felt it. And asked.

      The Heart…

      Will eagerly await your response.

P.S. Continuing to display my selfishness, I guess you, or so the WordPress dashboard tells me, have subscribed to the comments, and not the blog itself. Just thought I’d let you know. 🙂

Loved it! I don’t have a picture of a river, but I definitely have photos of hills and cacti. =P

I’m actually subscribed via Google Reader, so it doesn’t show up on the Dashboard. I don’t know how to track my RSS followers either. =P
